Who operates this program
Douglas Monsky operates BucsHQ Parent Messaging for communication with parents and guardians of his students at Buchanan Middle School. This is a teacher-operated program, not the HCPS Focus system or a district-wide notification service. Contact: douglas.monsky1@hcps.net.
Information and purpose
We collect the parent/guardian name, mobile number, SMS consent choice, submission date, form version and consent wording. Signed paper forms also include a signature. These records are used to document permission, review signup requests, deliver classroom messages, respond to questions and honor opt-outs. Do not submit student IDs, grades, health information or other sensitive student records on this form.
No marketing sharing
Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared for purposes unrelated to providing this messaging program. Service providers involved in hosting, record storage and message delivery, including our hosting providers and Telnyx, may process only the information needed to provide those services. We do not sell consent records.
Protection and retention
Digital records are kept in the site's managed database and are not publicly accessible. Paper forms are retained by the teacher with restricted access. Records are retained as needed to document consent, honor suppression requests and comply with applicable school record-retention requirements. There is no automatic deletion schedule currently. Hosting providers may process technical request information for security and operation; this signup page adds no advertising trackers.
Your choices
SMS is optional. Declining does not affect enrollment, instruction, grades or access to classroom services. Reply STOP to stop texts, or contact douglas.monsky1@hcps.net to request withdrawal, access or correction. A minimal suppression record may be retained to prevent further messages. Unchecking this signup box is not an opt-out for an existing subscription; use STOP or contact the teacher.
Changes
The effective date identifies this policy version. Material changes to the messaging purpose or consent scope require updated notice and, where applicable, renewed consent.
